I’m thrilled to be included in the 3rd Annual Greater Austin Book Festival! GAB Fest brings together authors, illustrators, and readers from Travis, Hays, and Williamson Counties to establish meaningful connections and engage with their community.
I’ll be facilitating a free afternoon workshop:
Bring Your Writing to Life: Performance for Authors
For writers who get nervous reading in front of an audience or secretly long to shine in front of a mic— I’m be teaming up with Austin Poet Laureate Zell Miller III and award-winning audiobook narrator Marcus Barton to bring you the tips and tricks you need to bring your writing to life and to offer guidance for those curious about audiobook narration.
This workshop will include discussion, Q & A, practical suggestions for powerful performances, live demonstrations, and the opportunity for volunteers to practice at the mic and receive supportive, actionable feedback.
Come schmooze with local writers, buy signed books, bask in gorgeous city views from the library, and enjoy a full day of panels, workshops, and programs.
